RIVVRS - Conquer (Official Music Video)

In September 2014, I was lucky enough to receive an email from a fan in Eugene, Oregon named Bradley Bjornstad.

Bradley told me he and his girlfriend, Kari, had fallen in love with my song «I Will Follow You» and that they had deemed it their «love song.»

I was incredibly flattered by the email and stayed in touch with Bradley. In our following email exchange, he told me he was a director and videographer and that he was planning to propose to Kari and wanted me to be involved.

He asked if I could film a personal video for Kari, with an acoustic performance of I Will Follow You, for after the proposal.

I recorded a short video to congratulate the newlyweds and performed an acoustic rendition of I Will Follow You. A couple months later, Bradley emailed me to tell me Kari had said yes and that they would be getting married in the summer of 2015. I was very excited for them.

Towards the end of 2015, Bradley sent me an email to thank me again for making the video and to tell me the wedding was a beautiful morning. He also told me that Kari had passed away the afternoon of their wedding, from a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is a rare genetic disease that limits the ability to breathe, often leading to complete respiratory failure. Tragically, Kari ended her battle with CF on August 28, 2015.

After Karis passing, Bradley and I decided to make something special together in memory of Karis incredible spirit and strength. This is the official music video for my song CONQUER by Thru the Reel Films. Bradley filmed this with Kari during their final months together in Oregon.

The spirit of the song is about overcoming whatever obstacles might be in front of you, and about conquering them, above all odds. And that is exactly who Kari was. A fighter, and an incredible person. She conquered.

Please help spread awareness for this horrible disease, and donate to help find a cure:
